What does it cost to get started?

A one-time capitalization fee of $14,990 covers the application, the independent actuary's risk assessment, the sovereign domicile's chartering of your company, and the carrier's underwriting and policy issuance. That figure generally sits below commonly advertised marketplace costs.

From year two, a $6,950 annual fee covers the carrier's preparation and filing of your company's federal returns, plus domicile renewal, annual reports, and all domicile communications.

What is the ceding fee, and what does it cover?

A flat 15% of remitted premium. It pays for the third-party carrier's wrap-around services: preparation and filing of the company's federal returns, bookkeeping and accounting, claims administration, loan support, and a year-over-year risk review. Quarterly compliance meetings with our consulting team are included as well.

Some competitors advertise a lower headline ceding fee, then layer in additional charges that can push the true cost higher. Ours is flat.

What are the steps to get set up?

Five steps. Capitalize the company. Complete formation documents: choose two candidate company names and designate a President and Secretary. Complete the actuarial assessment interview. Receive your policy and open your company's bank account. Hold a strategy consultation with our team. Then you begin remitting premiums monthly or quarterly.

Are there long-term contracts?

Accepted Answer

No. The reinsurance treaty can be rescinded at any time with written notice, and you can simply cancel your policy or stop remitting premium.

That said, the structure rewards patience: clients in The Latitude Plan portfolio have maintained their companies for 15 years on average.
